Crescent Values and PACE

Confused about Crescent Values and PACE? As the New Year begins we want to provide you with some useful information as you develop your master calendar of events for the semester.

There have been many questions regarding the monthly schedule of meetings and what programming is required of chapters, specifically how to incorporate Crescent Values and PACE into the monthly schedule of events.  Formal chapter meetings are to be held every other week (two times a month).  On weeks where there is no formal chapter meeting there should be either a Crescent Values program or a PACE program.  It is also required chapter's hold officer committee meetings and sisterhood events, both one per month as stated in the Greek Letter President's Book, Section 3, page 34.

We recommend the following structure:

Crescent Values sessions and/or PACE should last at least one hour.  Crescent Values programs should be paired with a sisterhood activity. Examples of sisterhood activities include spa night, seasonal activities like ice skating, bowling, among many other activities. PACE should be paired with chapter committee meetings.  Every chapter member should be assigned to an officer committee, as outlined in the Greek Letter President's Book, Section 3, page 111.

The following is an example of a monthly calendar:

Week 1:        Formal Chapter Meeting
Week 2:        Crescent Values program/Sisterhood activity
Week 3:        Formal Chapter Meeting
Week 4:        PACE program/Chapter committee meeting

Attendance is required of all members for these meetings/events.  Meetings should be held at the same time and place each week so as to maintain consistency and expectations of your chapter members.

If you have any questions please contact your regional coordinator or chapter advisor.

Best of luck this semester! We look forward to hearing of your successes!
